You are bidding on a very large P.D. Beckwith Round Oak Parlor Stove. It stands over 6' - 2" tall and is 32" square at the base. It is covered over 80% of it's body with beautiful renickled finish. Nickle plating alone to restore this stove was over $2,000. It is by far the most gorgeous heating stove you will find. Having Ising glass doors on 3 sides. It has all of its vertical ornate arms and foot rests. The entire base is nickle plated. From the barrel to the top of the finial is solid nickle plated. My photos are horrible of this stove. I can't seem to get any real good photos. What you see is one tenth the beauty of what this stove is in person. The Indian head finial is 3 dimensional on both sides with brass vertical scrolls on each side and a copper topper. The stove was produced in the mid 1800's and is not a reproduction, designed to burn wood or coal in the largest of homes or lodges. Most of these were used in lodges and hotels with large foyers or great rooms. It will heat a 5000 square foot home and is ready to go with the exception of a few ising glass panels that need to be purchased to replace where needed. Ising glass can be purchased from most stove shops. It's not hard to find and is easy to install. This stove came out of a large drugstore in the North and was disassembled and renickled and put back together and as I said ready to go back into service or just show it off in your museum. This is not a little normal size parlor stove. It is massive looking and the best of the best. Insured value over $10,000. I must sell and I mean at a bargain price. Buyer to arrange Pick up and Shipping.
